Considering A New Donate Bar and 300,000 Kiriban

I'm thinking of giving Zappy-Haven to someone else. The Super Group recently ended and it didn't really change that much, so I'm thinking for what Zappy-Haven is now, the super group doesn't really add much.

I don't multitask groups well especially with my involvement here and there in several. I'd really rather like to focus on my page and make it something special.

But people did donate and I will set aside time at least to form a contest to give back to the group from all those who gave to it. 1635 points. I won't forget those.

But again, I'd like to do something more.

The 300,000th view kiriban is coming up and I'll definitely contribute at the very least a premium membership if not make it an Anna sketch depending on who wins it. It might even be a short tale. I'm flexible about any reward. Of course, the membership will be received much quicker than art or story. And when considering art, keep in mind Anna's style so a fantasy kingdom or a zombie movie scene of Aiborae might be a bit much...ooo...that would be fun to commission from someone though. But pricy.

But again, I'd like to settle something nice for those who contributed and who enjoy zappy works aside from even seeing new works with the contest.

I will make a story or stories equaling 7357 and one half words. Or like 7400. So many two stories which are 3700 words long or some variation. But basically everyone will get one or two significant stories.

Then...I'd like to restart the donation bar and set it to something of a particular length for a story which might be fun. Like 800 points. That way you have a 3000 word story.

Sound good? I'm still kinda working it out but I want to do something nifty. Since there will be spots to write these kinds of stand-alone tales between the main ones I have planned out, so long as time is good and I keep healthy, which should be a fun experiment.

But yeah. One long-ish story or two significant ones will be coming for those who donated in the last year. Just need to get hold of my ideas. It will probably follow Abby 4 because I'm gonna need a short story chaser between diving into something long like The Quest for another month or so after Abby 4 is done.

That's that. I didn't write too much new Abby last night but I hope to find a better pace tonight. I wasn't feeling great last night but my head is clearer tonight. An old college friend wants me to come visit but I'm too much of a home body for that. I like home even if it is really dusty most of the time. I can poo whenever I like without worry or tension.

Class starts again on next Tuesday. It will be an evening Tues/Thurs class but I'll still be back around the same time I have been anyway. Trying to get a Barnes and Noble discount but I need to remember which account I had the discount card attached to. Annoying that is...

I was doing some Tropes reading on Myth Arcs and Continuity Lockout. I worry Abby might be getting that way but it's nearly halfway through. I don't think there's too much of that. That's why I wanted to start the first part on the character I did. Something new and plus it has the benefit of having a clear path. I love all that I have set up in the Abby stories but it gets to feel a little like Mecchen House after a while because there are quite a few rules and in-jokes already set. Also from my stories. I was tempted to make reference to Complaints in this part...but eh...that might be a bit much. I don't want to go too meta. My brain will probably come up with some incidental ones anyway.

Abby 1 was more the story to make references to other works a lot. But I feel like Abby has settled into being its own multiverse despite the crossover. It needs to exist on its own with its own references even if they originally came from other sources.

I've tried to help readers keep with it as much as I could with recaps and even characters mentioning little things more than once. I did get Abby to give her own little recap. But that was more for my own amusement.

Note - Outcasts really does get better after the first three episodes or so...which is about halfway through it, unfortunately. In many ways it's Terra Nova without the bullshit. There's some fascinating stuff in there. Full review when I'm done with the last two episodes.
