My best friend Donna, who long-time viewers may know by the name Anna in the past, has pretty much saved my novel “The Girl Who Chases The Wind”. How has she saved it? I was so slow with my writing till recently. The staccato may show with what I’ve posted tonight…The first part of Chapter 4…but I tried to fix that up as much as possible.

The Girl Who Chases The Wind: Chapter 4 (Part 1)The Girl Who Chases the Wind
Chapter 4 – The Future (Part 1)
I had a few quiet moments of calm before I started freaking out.
The notion of being a Feldon had gone from absurdity to finally making sense. My body had always felt wrong, warped, distorted. I accepted some aspects of gender. I called myself a girl. Perhaps if I’d had different people raising me but being force fed the gender notions of morally-ancient family had me fighting even more.
So yeah, it made sense but at the same time I’d been to a family general-practitioner more than once. I had my first period at a brutal time in my life but I’d had it and no gynecologist batted an eye when they examined me. And these weren’t myopic physicians who talked in folksy platitudes. They were as knowledgeable as any doctors I’d ever met. Of course, I was in no position to fact-check them but they’d never raised any alarms to me about my health.
I’d done casual reading abou

THE TG LABLE IS SILENT! UNLIKE MY YELLING IN TEXT RIGHT NOW! Actually, the title is just too darn long. Sadly this has hurt viewership but I can survive without tagging everything TG…I hope :p. It’s still there thematically though. This chapter especially.

So…how did Donna save my story? She showed me Superman vs. The Elite in a clip. The art is lousy but the themes are really cool. We chatted a good long while about the personalities of superheroes, how it connected to my story, and what it means. I thought about the implication of a part in the film where a child’s father dies because Superman does not kill a bad guy. Is it wrong to take brutal actions but which may ultimately in the best interests of others? The idea of utilitarianism vs. idealism perhaps. I pitched a lot of my ideas and how characters are presented to her and she has a lot of great reactions which added fuel for my writing.

My eyes are kinda tired right now so I’m extra relying on people to catch typos and errors I may have missed. Gonna get some rest soon but I am definitely backing up a copy of my conversation with Donna and hoping to use a lot from it in Part 2.

I know that there will be a transitionary piece/part between Chapter 4 and the epilogue. Should be fun to write. Nothing more for now. Enjoy the writing and time to finish off the rest of this journal before bed ^^V.

For a good time check out the old Superman radio show episodes where he fights the "Clan of the Fiery Cross." You can listen to them on YouTube. And yes as you might have gleaned from the name Superman is basically fighting the KKK. I am not kidding. The insanity doesn't even stop there when you learn that a guy named Stetson Kennedy actually infiltrated the Klan and gave away all of their secrets to the people making the Superman radio show. This in turn made the Klan look so bad that members couldn't even stay with them. Their own children were mocking the Klan.

Also the advertisements for Kellogg's Pep cereal might be one of my favorite parts. They make it sound so good that I wish I could have some now!
